The easiest way to connect is from claude.ai in your browser — no installation needed.
Do I need a paid Claude plan?
No. Custom connectors work on any Claude plan, including Free — Free is limited to one custom connector; Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise have no such limit. On Team / Enterprise, an Owner must add the connector to the organization first; then each member enables it.
Before you start
Have these ready (see Your Odoo connection details):
- Your Odoo URL, database name, and login.
- A read-only API key generated in Odoo.
Steps
- Open claude.ai in your browser and sign in.
- Open Settings (your account menu).
- Go to Connectors (under Customize).
- Click Add custom connector.

In the URL field, paste the Tecnicora MCP for Odoo address:
https://mcp-odoo.tecnicora.com/mcp -
Click Connect.
- A login window opens: enter your email and click the magic-link that arrives in your inbox.
- You land on the Tecnicora connection form. Enter your Odoo URL, database, login, and API key, then click Connect.

You are taken back to Claude with the Odoo tools available. Try asking:
“Show me the latest sales orders from Odoo.”
Approving the tools
The first time Claude uses a tool it asks for your approval. Because this connector is read-only, you can safely set its tools to Allow unsupervised (auto-approve) under the connector's Tool permissions if you prefer not to confirm each time.
If something doesn't work
- No approval prompt appears, or the tools seem stuck → it is usually a browser extension. See Troubleshooting.
